Images found on the internet are almost always JPG. They may not work with your phone but we try to guess and you'll see notes in the search results about that.

Among internet images there are full-color JPGs mixed in. These will not preview in WAP if the browser doesn't support the JPG *display* but will still download if the browser supports JPG *download* (for example, Nokia 3510i, 3595).

On SonyEricsson phones, previews will not display if the image is larger than about 2860 bytes (about 3k), but the download link will always work to save the image directly to your phone, even if the preview isn't visible.
